Overdrive App Now on Nook!

Borrowing e-books from the library on your Nook just got a lot easier as the Overdrive app is now available on Nook Color, Tablet, and the forthcoming HD.  By downloading the Overdrive app, patrons can browse the e-collection directly from their device and borrow books wiothout having to connect to a computer.  Overdrive was previously available on Apple devices, as well as Amazon's Kindle Fire.

Because the Nook Simple Touch and Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight do not have browsers, the process for borrowing e-books on those devices will remain the same.

For more information on borrowing e-books from the library (as well as streaming video and audiobooks!), please visit the eCLP Page.

Spotlight On: New in Fiction

Adult fiction titles are some of our most highly circulated.  While bestselling authors are always coming out with new books, there are plenty of other options for a novel fix.  Humor, romance, along with sci-fun fun are all here.  Check out our new fiction additions in the library today--more and more are being added each week!

SPOTLIGHT ON: NEW IN FICTION

What in God’s Name? by Simon Rich

"Like Douglas Adams in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Rich drags heaven down to Earth... Rich knows how to balance the smart with the funny." (New York Times Book Review)

Wayne of Gotham by Tracy Hickman

“Much closer to the Burton/Nolan Batman films and the Frank Miller graphic novels than to the campy 1960s TV and comic book incarnations of the character. An imaginative look at the human side of an iconic superhero.” (Booklist)

The Orchard by Jeffrey Stepakoff

"This is a truly heartwarming and emotional story, with characters so interesting and unusual the reader can’t help but keep reading until the final page has been turned." (RT Book Reviews)

Sweetness of Forgetting by Kristen Harmel

"Harmel manages to deliver an immersive and evocative tale of generations struggling to survive. Recipes sprinkled throughout the book allow readers to experience firsthand the sweetness of Hope's journey." (Publishers Weekly)

Lady Cyclist’s Guide to Kashgar by Suzanne Joinson

"It takes less than a page for Suzanne Joinson to seize your attention…. there is so much here that is wonderful: the author’s crisp, uncluttered story-telling, her graceful prose, and her ability to inhabit the character of a young woman in 1924 and a contemporary young woman with equal depth and ease. It is an impressive first novel." (Nan Goldberg, Boston Globe)

Brand New Human Being by Emily Jeanne Miller

"A deftly plotted exploration of marriage, family, and the road from child to parent, Brand New Human Being is a page-turning debut that overflows with heart and grace." (Amazon.com)
